Boardwalk Auctions – Terms & Conditions for Online Bidding
Welcome to Boardwalk Auctions! Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before registering or placing a bid. By bidding in any of our auctions, you agree to be bound by the following:
1. General
All auctions are conducted by Boardwalk Auctions, a division of Boardwalk Homes and Real Estate, located at 2501 W. Wabash Ave. in Springfield, Illinois.
We reserve the right to add, remove, or modify lots at any time prior to or during the auction.
All bidders must be 18 years or older and have a valid credit or debit card on file to register.
2. Auction Format
Auctions are conducted online only.
By placing a bid, you are making a binding agreement to purchase the item if you are the winning bidder.
3. Item Condition & Description
All items are sold as-is, where-is, with no warranties or guarantees expressed or implied.
Items are primarily sourced from liquidation and overstock loads. Some packaging and items may be damaged, opened, or missing; some items may be customer returns.
We do our best to provide accurate photos and descriptions, but it is the bidder’s responsibility to inspect or inquire about items prior to bidding. Please
4. Payment
Winning bidders will automatically have their credit card charged following the auction unless alternate arrangements have been approved in advance.
A 15% buyer’s premium will be added to all winning bids.
Sales tax will be collected as required by law unless a valid resale certificate is provided.
5. Pickup & Shipping
Pickup must occur within the stated pickup window, usually within 3 days of auction close, at our Springfield, IL facility.
Items not picked up by the deadline may be forfeited without refund.
Shipping may be available on select items at the bidder’s expense; please check individual lot descriptions or contact us before bidding.
6. Default & Forfeiture
Failure to complete payment or pick up items may result in your account being suspended and your items forfeited.
Boardwalk Auctions reserves the right to resell unpaid items and pursue any available remedies for non-payment.
7. Liability
Boardwalk Auctions and its affiliates assume no responsibility for errors, omissions, or internet connection issues during the auction process.
Bidders agree to hold Boardwalk Auctions harmless from any and all claims related to the purchase, use, or condition of items.
8. Acceptance
By registering and placing a bid, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions in full.
